Privacy information.

Current local-only app version. Website information is listed separately below.

Draft · Final hosting and email-processing information will be completed before the app release.

App data

Negativicer processes your data on your iPhone in the current version. It has no account system, advertising, tracking or analytics services and does not send exposure or location data to an app server or iCloud.

Camera and snapshots

The iPhone camera is used to meter light. If snapshots are enabled, a small scene image is saved with each logged exposure. Disable snapshots in app settings; manage camera permission in iPhone Settings.

Optional location

GPS is off by default. If enabled and permitted, available coordinates are saved with exposures. Turning GPS off stops new location entries but does not remove existing ones. Light metering does not need location access.

Local storage and deletion

Camera, lens, film and settings data are stored in the app’s protected local storage and excluded from automatic system backups. There is no iCloud restore in this version. Export important records as PDF. Film rolls can be deleted after removal from their camera, also deleting their snapshots and app-managed PDFs. Uninstalling the app removes its local data.

PDF sharing

PDFs may include scene images, camera and lens names, exposure values, dates and available GPS. You choose how to save or share them using the iPhone share menu. If you choose a cloud service, that service processes the exported file. Deleting an app record does not remove previously shared or saved copies.

Permissions

You may revoke location permission and disable GPS in the app. Without camera permission the app cannot meter light; existing film records remain accessible.
